School Policies

Enrollment Requirements and Prerequisites

To be admitted a student must be a high school graduate or the equivalent. There is no entrance test. For Continuing Education courses 100 hours of massage certification is required. Some courses may have additional requirements as noted.

Tuition Policy

Tuition is to be paid in full at the beginning of every course, unless payment plan has been made for massage programs.

Deposits for Continuing education courses: $50 deposit for classes 24 hour or less and a $100 deposit for classes over 24 hours in length.  Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable. 

Cancellations of CE courses: One week prior to course receives a full refund (minus non-refundable deposit) or credit (no transfer fee).  Less than 7 days will receive a credit with a transfer fee of $20 - $60(Unless otherwise noted)  Verbal cancellation is acceptable for CEU courses.

Deposits for Massage programs: a deposit of $100 - $200 non-refundable registration fee.  Payment plans are non-refundable. 

Cancellation of massage programs: Students have the right to cancel the enrollment for massage programs until midnight of the first day of class and receive a full refund, less the non refundable registration fee (not to exceed $200). Cancellation shall occur when the student gives written notice of cancellation to the school at the address specified in the agreement.  Refunds will be returned within 30 days of time of cancellation.   Refunds for unused equipment will be accepted within 30 days of cancellation notice.  Students failing to return equipment, in good condition, with that time will be liable for the cost.

**Please note that the school charges $15 for any returned checks.**

*If the school cancels or discontinues a course or educational program, the school will make a full refund of all charges to be paid within 30 days of cancellation.

Withdrawal Policy

After the first day, the student may withdraw (written notice required) from massage programs and receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion of the tuition up to 60 % of clock hours, beyond which there is no refund on the unused portion of the tuition.  Not showing up to class does not warrant withdrawal.  All withdrawals must be made in writing.  Missed classes are counted as attended and will be paid for until written notice is received.
REMEMBER YOU MUST CANCEL or WITHDRAW IN WRITING. You do not have the right to cancel just by telephoning the school or by not coming to class. Not showing up to class does not warrant cancellation.

Attendance Requirements

Attendance will be recorded for massage courses. Students will be required to make up any hours missed, depending on content of missed hours.  Attendance will be deemed unsatisfactory if more than 10% class hours are missed.  Students who miss the first class session, without prior approval from the administrator, will be dismissed. The administrator, at her discretion, may dismiss a student for unsatisfactory attendance or behavior.  Re-admittance may be permitted if the cause for unsatisfactory attendance has been corrected.

Student Conduct Policy

Students are expected to be respectful of fellow students and teachers, show up on time, ready to learn, and maintain a good level of energy for class attending.  Any student may be dismissed at the discretion of the administrator for intoxicated or drugged behavior, inappropriate or disruptive behavior, or repeated absence / tardies. Creating a safety hazard to other persons at the school is grounds for immediate dismissal. Students are asked to leave valuables at home. Bamboo Garden School of Massage cannot assume responsibility for any misplaced items.

Placement Assistance

Bamboo Garden School of Massage does not provide placement assistance. School bulletin Board will post known vacancies in the field.

Records Retention

Enrollees are advised and cautioned that state law requires this educational institution to maintain school and student records for only a five year period.

Student Complaint Procedures

Questions, concerns, and complaints may be directed to the class instructor or School Director either in person or in writing. If a complaint is not answered to the student's satisfaction, complaint may be forwarded to:
